Since 1861, Czech-based Ton has manufactured the designs of Michael Thonet, who, in the 1800s, pioneered the process of steam bentwood. Thonet\u2019s designs combined beautiful, undulating shapes with industrial efficiency. His chairs, including the iconic No. 14 Coffee House Chair, revolutionized global manufacturing as the steam-bending process allowed pieces to be affordably produced and exported on an industrial scale. Today, Ton continues to honor Thonet\u2019s approach, collaborating with contemporary designers to create quality, steam-bent-wood furniture at a reasonable
