Mogens Koch
Mogens Koch was born in 1898, Denmark. He studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, In 1925-1932 worked for Carl Petersen, Ivar Bentsen and Kaare Klint. His most famous piece is the square book case which was designed for his own home in 1928. It has a particularly flexible, space saving designed, and it was adjustable for the book formats of the future. Koch was a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1950-1968. His numerous awards include the Eckersberg Medal in 1938, the C. F. Hansen Medal in 1963, and the ID Prize in 1992.Learn more about
