Danish architect and furniture designer Mogens Koch designed this version of his iconic Folding Chair in 1960, which was later nicknamed "The Grandchild Chair" due to its much smaller size. The original adult size version was designed by Mogens Koch in 1932. The timeless design of the Grandchild Chair will last for generations and due to the exquisite materials it will only be more beautiful as time goes by. The chair, which goes by the product code MK99190, is available in soap and oil-treated beech with brass fittings with covers in natural canvas (100 % linen). Armrests in saddle leather.

Mogens Koch

Mogens Koch was born in 1898, Denmark. He studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, In 1925-1932 worked for Carl Petersen, Ivar Bentsen and Kaare Klint. His most famous piece is the square book case which was designed for his own home in 1928. It has a particularly flexible, space saving designed, and it was adjustable for the book formats of the future. Koch was a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1950-1968. His numerous awards include the Eckersberg Medal in 1938, the C. F. Hansen Medal in 1963, and the ID Prize in 1992.
