Featuring a swivel base and upholstered seat, the About A Chair AAC 11 combines functionality and a formal expression with comfort. Retaining the same open, curved shell and legs that fan out from the centered base, it has a cast aluminium swivel base in different polished or powder coated finishes, with the post-consumer recycled plastic shell offered in multiple upholstery options. The multitude of variants and design combinations give this series a versatile expression that makes it suitable for a wide variety of corporate, private, and public contexts.

Hee Welling

Hee Welling

Hee Welling is a Danish furniture designer who founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. The son of a cabinetmaker, Welling’s fascination with production techniques, materials, and machinery was fired as a child. He went onto study at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and received his master’s degree in furniture design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Welling has received a number of design awards, including the Bo Bedre Award (Denmark), Good Design Award (USA), and has been nominated as Danish designer of the year in 2013 and 2014.
