Franco Albini & Franca HelgFranco Albini (1905-1977) was an Italian architect and designer, famous for his ability to merge modern minimalistic furniture design with traditional Italian craftmanship. He obtained three Compasso D’Oro awards, the most prestigious Italian design prize. From 1951 he collaborated with Franca Helg (1920-1989), an Italian designer and architect. Franca plays a crucial role in numerous of Franco Albini’s designs. They were active both in the field of furniture, architectural planning and in industrial design. Together they designed many creations with the new forms of modernism.
