The wood is sustainably sourced from local forests and handcrafted by our Amish neighbours over in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Seat and back pads available. Chairs stack 6 high. Made in USA. The Lancaster family also includes solid ash dining tables.

Michael Young was born in 1966 in Sunderland, England. He graduated from Kingston University in 1992 and founded Michael Young Studio in 1993. He quickly became one of the UK’s most sought-after young designers and revered retailers and institutions. As a sophisticated minimalist with his elegant, pared-down aesthetic design. In 2006, he set up a studio in Hong Kong. Michael Young Studio is considered one of the most exciting and formidable companies operating in Asia, responsible for designing award-winning icons for its clients that last a lifetime and are presented in museums globally.
