This sculptural coffee table designed by Isamu Noguchi is an updated archival design from 1949. Its two chrome hairpin legs and one wood leg, the shape of which is reminiscent of a ship's rudder, provide a balanced asymmetry.

Isamu Noguchi

Isamu Noguchi

Isamu Noguchi (born in 1904), one of the twentieth century’s most important sculptors. Through lifetime, he created sculptures, gardens, furniture and lighting designs, ceramics, architecture, and set designs. He set a new standard for the reintegration of the arts. Born in Los Angeles, to an American mother and a Japanese father. He took evening sculpture classes while studying pre-medicine and soon left the university to become an academic sculptor. He set up a studio in NYC and opened The Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum in New York in 1985. Noguchi received numerous awards, He died in 1988.
