Verner Panton created Panthella in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 1971. Today, Panthella is recognised as one of Panton’s most significant design icons with its organic shape. The Panthella 250 Portable Lamp is a portable version of the popular Panthella Table Lamp, with a shade that has a diameter of 250 mm.

The Light Concept: The translucent white opal shade diffuses soft ambient light onto the surroundings and directs glare free light downwards onto the trumpet shaped base, which reflects some of the light upwards.

Finish: White opal acrylic shade with white stand.

Base and Housing: die cast aluminium.
Diffuser: Injection moulded opal PMMA.

Verner Panton

Among the giants of Danish design, Verner Panton (1926-1998) established a unique reputation for his exuberant originality and tireless experimentation. Panton created lamps, furniture and textiles – and was also a sought-after interior designer. Although he was at the forefront of mid-century Danish Modern, Panton’s contribution was anything but mainstream.
