With its name deriving from the curvature of the stem, the petite table lamp has a characteristic form and an adjustable lamp head which can rotate 45 degrees to either, to direct light where it is required.Until the mid-1950s, the PH 2/2 Question Mark Table Lamp was made of brass and available with coloured glass shades in amber, red or yellow, as well as the classic opal glass, to honour this and Henningsen’s fascination with colour and light, the PH 2/2 Question Mark Pale Rose Table Lamp was created.
Light concept:
The fixture has been designed on the principle of a reflecting multi-shade system, emitting a glare-free, downward directed light, while radiating a pleasantly delicate glow. The shades are made of mouth-blown four-layer pale rose opal glass, which is glossy on top and sandblasted matt opal white on the underside, providing a soft and uniform light distribution. The adjustable upper part of the lamp can be tilted 45 degrees to the right or left by turning the handle on the middle of the arm.
Materials:
Mouth-blown four-layered pale rose coloured glass with a white sandblasted underside. Glossy on the outside, sandblasted white on the inside. Brass, brushed and untreated.
Finish:
Brushed brass with fine hairlines, untreated. Pale Rose coloured glass with white sandblasted innerside.
Mounting:
2.8 m. White textile cord.

Poul Henningsen
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen by the famous Danish writer. He never graduated as an architect, but studied at The Technical School at Frederiksberg, and then at Technical College in Copenhagen. He started practicing traditional functionalistic architecture, but over the years his interests focus mainly on lighting. He is the legendary creator of the lighting series carrying his name; PH. He can be said to be the world’s first lighting architect. PH devoted his entire career to investigating the importance of light for our well being.Learn more about
