The PH 3/2 Aged Brass Opal Table Lamp is based on Poul Henningsen’s reflective three-shade system. It’s characterised by its aged brass top shade and white-painted inner side, providing pleasing downward-directed, glare-free illumination. The middle and lower shades are crafted from three-layered, mouth-blown opal white glass, which is glossy outside and sandblasted matte on the inner side and provides a softer, more uniform light distribution, creating further ambience.

Materials
Top shade: Aged brass, with hairlines and lacquered.
Glass shades: Mouth-blown three-layered opal glass. Glossy on the outside, sandblasted on the inner side.
Stem: Aged brass, with hairlines and lacquered to preserve finish.

Ingress protection IP20. Electric shock protection II w/o ground.

Poul Henningsen

Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen by the famous Danish writer. He never graduated as an architect, but studied at The Technical School at Frederiksberg, and then at Technical College in Copenhagen. He started practicing traditional functionalistic architecture, but over the years his interests focus mainly on lighting. He is the legendary creator of the lighting series carrying his name; PH. He can be said to be the world’s first lighting architect. PH devoted his entire career to investigating the importance of light for our well being.
