The original design of the PH 3/3 Pendant by Poul Henningsen is based on his well-known three-shade system (the System PH), which dates back to 1926 and is carefully calculated to provide soft and glare-free light. Inspired by Poul Henningsen’s fascination with light and colour, the PH 3/3 Pale Rose Pendant boasts beautiful, mouthblown pale rose glass shades, that are sandblasted on the underside to provide optimal light. This is paired with brushed brass elements such as the socket house and canopy, which will patinate beautifully over time, or can be polished to maintain their appearance. Wherever you choose to hang it, the PH 3/3 Pale Rose Pendant will bathe the room in a uniform, soft light while providing a stunning decorative feature.

Light concept:
The fixture is based on Poul Henningsen’s renowned three-shade system and reflects the light downwards, while also emitting a soft glow around itself. The pale rose coloured mouth-blown opal glass shades are glossy on top and sandblasted matt opal white underneath, which results in a gentle and poetic light.

Materials:
Mouth-blown four-layered pale rose coloured glass with a white sandblasted underside. Glossy on the outside, sandblasted on the inside. Brass, brushed and untreated with fine hairlines.

Finish:
Brushed brass with fine hairlines, untreated. Pale Rose coloured glass with white sandblasted innerside.

Mounting:
4 m. White textile cord 2x0,75mm². Canopy: Yes. Specially designed brass canopy. Height adjustment of light source approximately 40mm depending on light source used.

Ingress protection IP20. Electric shock protection II w/o ground.

Poul Henningsen

Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen by the famous Danish writer. He never graduated as an architect, but studied at The Technical School at Frederiksberg, and then at Technical College in Copenhagen. He started practicing traditional functionalistic architecture, but over the years his interests focus mainly on lighting. He is the legendary creator of the lighting series carrying his name; PH. He can be said to be the world’s first lighting architect. PH devoted his entire career to investigating the importance of light for our well being.
