Made from a felt made of recycled plastic bottle fibers, the Restore Round Basket is a functional and versatile storage unit that can be used for almost any object from laundry to blankets to children’s toys. The round basket comes in a variety of colors and offers a textural, quirky addition to any home or professional space.

The Restore Basket is made from polymer felt. The material is PET fibers. A percentage of the product comes from recycled plastic bottles, which are granulated, heated and blown like little fibers that are subsequently dyed. The fibers are worked together like mats, which can be pressed over heat-influenced forms that enables the material to maintain its shape.

Mika Tolvanen

Mika Tolvanen is a renowned Finnish designer who started his own practice after graduating from Royal College of Art in 2001. Tolvanen designs products for residential and contract use from his studio and workshop on the island of Lauttasaari outside of Helsinki, Finland. "The objective is not only to design products, but rather to look at occasions we need to design for. What really defines objects is how we use them, not what they appear to be. Design should never be the aspect that makes too much noise."
