Scheggia Di Roccia, Rectangular | Highlight image
Scheggia di roccia is an Italian phrase which means “pieces of rock”, designed by Kira Yurina.

We had a better understanding of the roots of her intriguing artwork in which her strong passion, acquired in Italy, and a delicate sensibility as a Japanese person coexist. Kira’s artwork incorporates both geometric and artificial abstractness which looks as if a landscape has been cut from nature.

Kirayurina

Kira Yurina was born in Kawasaki in 1964. She went to study at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan in 1991. Since her return to Japan in 2004, her mirror wall art works were selected by the interior shop TIME AND STYLE and developed into products, and from 2008 she started to concentrate on producing brooches mainly made from wood and acrylic mirrors. She has created the term “OBJEWELRY” which encapsulates the vague existence of a boundary between artistic objects and jewelry. At present, she is active in producing both brooches and wall artwork under the name “KIRAYURINA”.
