This special edition Sela Lounge Armchair is upholstered in a Manta Alentejana, a traditional blanket from the Alentejo region of Portugal with a heritage reaching back over a century. It is woven by hand at the Fabricaal workshop in Reguengos de Monsaraz. The manta’s Lido pattern is a classic from the Fabricaal portfolio, available in a colour range developed with De La Espada. The alignment of the pattern across the chair was carefully defined to achieve the most aesthetically pleasing composition.

Sela Lounge Chair reflects a passion for woodworking, with a tactile timber form with beautiful joinery. An exquisite leather seat, custom made by a Portuguese saddler, is suspended from the chair frame, then softened with upholstered cushions. Sela boasts an ageless appearance with a contemporary edge; the perfect blend of natural elements, craftsmanship, and timeless appeal. Available with wide or narrow arms

Luca Nichetto

Luca Nichetto was born in 1976 in Venice. He graduated in industrial design from the Università Iuav di Venezia in 1998. In 1999, He worked with Murano-based glass maker Salviati, and became a product designer and consultant for lighting company Foscarini. He opened studio in Venice in 2006 and in 2011 he moved to Stockholm to open a second studio and to live there. He worked for many international brands and has developed knowledge of the design industry. He has lectured and led workshops at universities. His work has been exhibited worldwide and He has been awarded international prizes.
