The Sofie Counter Stool is a favorite among upper-end restaurants, cafes and bistros throughout the world, and is also a beloved addition to kitchen islands and bars in private homes. This colorful stool is prized for its durability, comfort and style. Each chair is handmade using the finest Malacca cane rattan, stainless hardware, and our exclusive synthetic ArtFibre™ that can withstand rugged use. Each chair is meticulously handcrafted using the century-old method perfected by the Danish skilled cane makers in the 1970s. This technique leaves signature organic marks created by bending each piece of rattan into shape. Designed for indoor or covered outdoor use, the stool's rattan frame will patina to a lovely light gray finish over time. If the original natural rattan look is desired, rub with linseed oil.
