KL-10-SU Tulip loungechair is handmade in Indonesian sustainable rattan. The chair is made in the color natural, which is original and suitable for every occasion. The fine bindings in the seat and back are made on a frame of rattan by skilled wicker workers. The chair is beautiful elegant and adds an element of nature to the living room or summer cottage. A cushion can be purchased for the back and seat in any optional fabric, sewn on our Danish sewing department. The Tulip loungechair was designed by Tove Kindt Larsen and produced by R. Wengler in the 1940 's. From the 1930 to the 1960 's, Tove and her husband were Edvard among Denmark's most skilled designers, covering areas such as architecture, design of the future, silverware, and textiles. They were a strong design-duo and their work were characterized by contrasts and simplicity, as well as high sense of quality and appreciation of current trends.

Tove Kindt Larsen

Tove Kindt-Larsen, Architect (1906 - 1994) was trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Before her marriage to Edvard Kindt-Larsen, Tove had a passion for etching furniture designs. With their marriage in 1937 the couple embarked on a partnership that would bring them to the forefront as designers not only of furniture but also of silverware, jewellery and textiles and much more.
