The BT1091 Confetti Pendants were designed by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. The prolific Danish architects created the double-pendant design as part of a series of geometric-inspired lighting, completed in 1970. The Confetti Pendants – available in polished brass or lacquered steel – feature slim cone-shaped shades that complement the functionalist forms of the two other lamps in the series.
All three designs are fitted with a half-mirror lightbulb set lower than the shade, chosen by Bonderup and Thorup for its light-reflecting properties.

Claus Bonderup & Torsten Thorup

After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Architecture in Copenhagen in 1969, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup began a collaboration that led them to join forces on design projects across the globe for more than 20 years. In 1985, the pair established Torsten Thorup & Claus Bonderup Architects, completing many successful projects in the years that followed, including private residences, store interiors, hotels and housing.
