Robert Kuo

Robert Kuo was born in Beijing, he moved with his family to Taiwan in 1947. Kuo grew up in an artistic environment. Although he never engaged in formal art studies, Kuo gained technical expertise and learned about decorative tradition from "hands on" training. Robert Kuo is best known as an artist and creator of exquisite objects impeccably executed using methods and techniques that date back many centuries. His respect for and knowledge of traditional craft methods, techniques and materials enable him to bring both aesthetic and technical innovation to his work.
